Hootenanny Games announced that they are making a new game called Feelin’ Cute TOP DOG, the game of ranking ridiculously cute dogs!

They are now on a search for the cutest pooches around!

From now until August 6th, anyone in the US can submit photos of their dogs to be considered for the game. Up to 150 dogs will be selected!

Basset Hound for hunting / tracking blood trail? Does it work?

Hello,

My father and I have recently been looking for a tracking dog. Of course our first search was for a Bloodhound (and some others of the more regional tracking dogs), but living in a rather isolated area I was not able to find many reliable breeders nearby, so we kept on our search for a different breed.

In our research we found Basset Hounds are a close second to Bloodhounds, and researching them beyond tracking we both loved the idea of one as a family dog as well. However, I see a very conflicting mix of opinions on Basset Hounds tracking – some say they some of the best dogs for it, while some say it isn’t worth trying?

(Forgot to mention, specifically for tracking large game blood trail).
