We have a 4.5-year-old male basset who is usually really nice to other dogs, but we got a new female basset puppy about 11 weeks old. He is very aggressive toward her when she gets near, especially because she goes to smell his backside, if you know what I mean, a lot, and he growls/barks/snaps at her. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Bonus question: Our couch is almost a 3-foot drop for her. We haven’t let her jump, but if we fell asleep, would she get hurt jumping down?
