Basset Hounds for You

Been feeding 4 stray kitties in my yard, they’ve become friends with my cats and hang out in my yard. One of them in particular seems interested in hanging with Canelo here, but neither one of them know how to approach! Today, they alllmost did. Canelo just wants to sniff ! But kitty is understandably scared and so Canelo patiently waits. Maybe soon!

So, I took my basset, Bella, to the beach for the first time last weekend. I wasn’t sure how she’d react to all that sand and water, but OMG, she was in heaven! She spent half the time rolling in the sand and the other half trying to chase seagulls. 😂 I swear, I’ve never seen her run so fast (which isn’t saying much, right?). But then the waves came in, and she just froze, staring at them like they were aliens. Do your bassets have any funny beach stories? I’d love to hear how they handle the whole sandy situation!

He’s 3-4 years old and was found running down a busy road. So glad the rescue was able to find and save him.

I love this sweet boy. Day one and he did so well overnight in his crate, is learning cats are friends, and is stealing all of his brother’s toys already 😂😻

Long time no see, Duke and Dumbo have been soaking up the last few weeks of summer 💙🐾
