Kidney failure

I know this time was coming up it’s so hard and I don’t know what to do. My 17 year old basset has kidney failure. He will barely eat. We are going to give him an appetite stimulant to try to get him at least a few more days so we can spoil him. If we are lucky maybe thru Christmas. This is so much harder than I tonight it would be.

Does anyone else’s bassets get easily afraid??

I was thinking of getting a robo vacuum but one of my two bassets easily scares. We have a heater that slowly turns and she barks and refuses to come into the room if it’s on. If you clap or even start sweeping for some reason she runs off. As you all know they shed so much and I have back issues so the robo vacuum would help in a huge way. My husband and me wanted to just see if anyone else has these issues with their basset.
