Happy for a rest after a long walk. Don’t let anyone tell you that your basset can’t go on adventures. They love them! My guy is 10 and still loves a good long walk.

This is my sweetest girl Mrs. Millie. She’s 2 years old and has just moved into her permanent home. She’s very anxiously attached to my partner and I, and cannot stand when she’s left alone. We haven’t been able to completely potty train her. She KNOWS that she needs to go potty outside, and if we find either a poop or pee inside she tries to hide from us or ask for attention. I’m at the end of my rope with potty training. My partner and I have a French bulldog who would rather make himself sick than potty inside, and I just don’t understand why she does all of the time. Any tips or tricks? I’ve tried buzz collars, pee pads, taking her out every 30 minutes, kenneling her while we’re at work, treats and positive reinforcement whenever she does potty outside. I just don’t know what else to do. Any advice would be appreciated

this is my first basset he’s 13 weeks and when he was weighed 2 wks ago he was 18 lbs. he’s getting the correct food amount recommended on the bag but it worries me his ribs are so prominent (we do see the vet in a week) i read about flanged ribs on bassets while i was researching the breed so i know it could just be that. he is still a crazy puppy full of energy and very sassy but i wanted to see with other basset owners if this is something i should be majorly concerned about aka getting him into the vet sooner!

Fairly new to the world of bassets. We have a two-year-old basset mix with angular limb deformity? (Curved legs, out-turned paws).

He has a “moderate” case but already has mild arthritis in the elbow at age 2. We’re considering surgery but are interested in others’ experiences.

How was recovery? Was there much difference long term? Any thing else we should know?

The other 2 don’t make a sound, so Valerie makes enough noise for all 4. Holds her own though 😂
