Basset Hounds for You

Hey everyone! So the other day, I made some nachos and left them on the counter to grab something from the fridge. I turn around, and there’s my sneaky basset, Oliver, having a full-on fiesta with my nachos! 😅 He’s got this uncanny talent for finding food, even if it’s on the highest shelf. I guess it’s that famous basset nose! Does anyone else’s pup have some wild snack-stealing stories? What’s the craziest thing your basset has gotten into when you weren’t looking?

We took our girl in for her one year boosters and she’s weighed in at 27lbs. Our vet said she’s in perfect shape and health. We constantly get asked if she’s a dachshunds due to her size 😅 thank god she’s so little or else we’d really be in trouble with her tude and counter surfing.

My boy has come down with a case of CIRD (kennel cough) Thanks to an owner at the puppy park who’s dog had it, but since his other dog wasn’t exhibiting symptoms, he decided to bring out tonplay anyway. 5 days later, Canelo and 2 other dogs from the same play date couldn’t stop coughing and vomiting. He is on antibiotics due to a slight fever, trazodone for sleeping and a anticough med. Pray my baby is OK and this doesn’t get worse for him. Pray that my 11 yr old chihuahua doesn’t get it Im keeping them isolated as I can and keeping everything as clean and sanitized as I can. Any tips?
