Basset Hounds for You

Hellloo everyone,

I have a fresh three year old basset- i understand well enough i may be late to asking questions regarding training- and my boy is a wild one (possibly mixed with beagle?) anywho, I know bassets are very treat oriented, my problem is Hank, is very picky of his treats 😅 and i somehow always end up getting the wrong ones, and if he loves them, his poops are bad or they’re cheesy and not treats, so I’m kinda stuck and was just wondering what got your pups motivated for training?

Also if you have any training tips, I’d love to hear them as well- i know I’m a bit late in his life to be asking such a question but i was a very lonely 19 year old girl who went from working full time to being a student full time- I’ve learned my lesson, i need no reminders! Granted i did get him into a very basic puppy training class when he was still under one, so he knows the very basics, but id really appreciate hearing tips (if ya got them) on:

containing excitement around people (jumping is a problem) containing excitement around other dogs (sometimes he pays no mind, other times it’s the complete opposite) walking advice would be nice preventing jumping on bed/couch

This looks like it’s the same scammers from Bluemoonbassets.com. That website is now offline. The wording and photos on this new website look like the same from the Bluemoon site and are being reused. I remember the photos.

The puppies are all little and look almost Ai…which seems to be common on dog scam sites. The wording is odd and the photos look photoshopped.
