So I’m getting a basset hound this weekend she’s a two year old in desperate need of a home. Bassets are my favorite type of dog but I know very little about actually caring for them other than they need walks daily to prevent obesity and need their ears cleaned and they have joint issues. I’m doing research but its all so much at once and I don’t know what I actually need vs whats total bs. Do I need to get specific vitamins, or stairs for her so she can get on my couch/ bed? How often do i clean her ears and with what? Any advice or more information on how to care for her will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
