Male basset behavior while female dog is in heat

My 2 year old male basset has been acting out towards my sister (who he normally loves being with) he’s never shown any sign of aggression towards any human or other dogs. Our female dog is in heat and ofc he’s losing his mind. He won’t let my sister come into my room and will even growl at her if she’s around the house. Him and our female dog are being kept apart. He doesn’t show aggression or growls at others in our home. Have any of you experienced this? He is definitely getting neutered soon!

Eyes

I have attached two pictures of our baby Hank. One from this morning and one from two days ago.

He is 12 weeks old. Last night he had an episode after a walk, he couldn’t open his one eye at all, called emergency vet they said no discharge etc he was okay to not be seen as he had a regular vet appointment this afternoon.

Fast forward to this morning and his eye is back open, but now both eyes look red. He has his appointment this afternoon (also called his vet this am to see if we should come earlier and she said he was okay to wait) but I am wondering if anyone else has seen anything like this with there’s as it was very upsetting last night that he couldn’t open his eye at all and when he did could only see his eye lid, not his brown eye at all without me helping him which I only did once as I didn’t want to irritate it worse
