Any and all advice :)

Hi 👋🏼 We pick up our sweetie girl in 4 days. She will be 8 weeks old and I would love any and all advice for crate training and potty training?

I believe we have the essentials?… -crate (I purchased a crate bed and blanket too so she feels cozy) -orthopedic bed with additional waterproof blankets and pads (this will be her lounge spot when not in crate we hope lol) -puppy bully sticks and chew toys -ear wipes, puppy shampoo, foot wipes, food with slow feed zigzag bowl and water bowl -pee pads

We purposely held off on buying a harness until we could measure her chest for correct fit? She is coming with a collar and leash from the breeder but I read harness is better for bassets?

I do plan on having her crate directly next to my bed until she’s more comfortable but any thoughts and advice on when we can move her crate to another room? First night in the crate? Etc etc! I want to give her the best possible transition.

I have two young kids… I am aware I’m about to be back in the trenches of that newborn night schedule lol.

Bumps on my Bassett

My 4 year old Bassett has bumps/lumps on his body. They’re mostly on his sides. We’ve taken him to the vet for this multiple times – he’s gotten a steroid shot, special shampoo, etc and they always seem to come back. The vet has said he just has oily Bassett skin.

Recently he’s developed one on his upper eyelid and on the top of his head. They don’t seem to be bothering him but I’m wondering if this is something I should be worried about? Has anyone’s Bassett had something similar?

For reference he eats purina pro plan salmon and rice.
