Brucey Goosey went to school today and came up pretty shaken up and with some scratches/bumps on his head. I emailed daycare to see what happened – as the young guy who brought him out to me only said “Everyone loves him! Well, maybe some friends love him a little too much…”

I hadn’t noticed the scratches til we go home, so in the moment I laughed it off. The daycare answered me just now and said that there were a few big dogs who kept trying to jump him. 😩

Someone please tell me it gets easier.

Brucey will be 8mo this Saturday and we are seemingly regressing and testing every single thing we know. We’re up all night, up all day, biting everything… all of the typical teenager things. I keep a routine, we have chews and toys and lots of sniff and potty walks.

I guess I’m just feeling alone with it at the moment.

Side note: anyone else have to cover their basset’s butt to control the toots? 😂

Oli is a 9 year old basset-pit and he’s always in a bad mood but has a kind heart. I have known him since I was 10 and love him with all my heart.

Staying within 50 feet of me at all times. Even got onto the ice here and there…new experience for her. The ice had fresh deer tracks on it, so wasn’t that concerned.
