Best Toilet training tips

I may be adding a basset to the pack in May, currently have a 5 year old Dachshund. I’m going back and forth on whether I get a basset or stick with what I know and get another dachshund.

I’m getting cold feet thinking about the puppy stage, it was difficult with my dachshund as he took 8 months to be completely toilet trained and that pushed me to the limit.
