Diabetic basset

Our Nala was recently diagnosed with diabetes. Her sugar was 500. She had her 1st dose of insulin this morning. The vet said that no more treats or table food period. She has to eat dry dog food and canned food is okay. Does anybody have a basset with diabetes? Looking for food suggestions. She has lost 11 pounds in a month which she was a little over weight. She’s been sleeping a lot and not wanting to be around anybody which isn’t like her. This has upset our family so worried about her!
