Help 😩

Puppy parents, I need help from the hive mind.

Brucey is not sleeping at night – it’s like an overnight switch flipped and I’m only getting about 5hrs of sleep every night.

He used to fall asleep soon before we went to bed, so we would wake him up for potty and then right to bed. He would sleep 4 hours, wake up for potty, ans go back to bed for another 4hrs.

As of last week, he’s wide awake at 9pm, will not settle until around 11, and whines and cries if I put him in his crate. His Dad needs to sleep as he gets up between 4 and 5am, so I can’t have him up and crying all night. Normally Dad gets up with him too, but he’s on a 16-day stint of 12hr days with a physically demanding job… So, I’m taking on the night time stuff right now since I work from home in 8hr shifts.

Brucey used to sleep between us sometimes, but now he doesn’t want that either, and will fall asleep on the floor for a few minutes and then start crying again – only settling down if I sit next to him on the floor. Besides that. I don’t want him free ranging the room while we’re asleep.

We’re getting exercise, he’s eating just fine, and has plenty of mental stimulation. I’m so tired that it’s affecting my physical health, mental health, and my work. His crate is covered and his favorite soft bed is in there (he tugged it in himself)

Any ideas to get us through this rough patch of teen puppy sleep regression?!

Dumbo

Dumbo and Duke’s daddy is a police officer and had to work overnight last night. Mom has to leave the tv on because she is a little wimp, but Dumbo stays right next to her the whole time❤️ (Duke couldn’t give a rats a**)😂

Help!Need advise from the basset hive

My boy is 8, he goes to doggy daycare. I’ve switched him to an enrichment based, less running and jumping, nap time program. He comes home so sore, he can barely move. He does zoomie a lot.The next day he’s fine. So, do I let him have his fun day, knowing he’s miserable that night? He’s on every joint supplement you can think of, vet approved. Is it time to just let him be an old man? He loves it and gets soo excited on his day.
