ISO Female Puppy!

We are looking for a female Bassett hound puppy for our family, and in particular for our 9 year old daughter. She has been incredibly diligent about caring for our pigs and flock of ducks/chickens for months, including feeding and mucking out habitats. She has had her heart set on this breed for almost a year. I have done my research and they seem like great family dogs. We have two other male dogs so we are looking for a female (not to breed – the other two are neutered). The puppy need not be AKC registered with perfect bloodlines etc but should have a sweet temperament. We live in Eastern TN on 10 acres.

Bluemoon Bassets

Hi! New here but I have been looking to adopt a basset hound for some time now and I finally got settled into my new house and have been starting to look. I was wondering if anyone’s ever had experience adopting from bluemoon bassets. They claim to be Texas based but will ship puppies. I am very skeptical and likely won’t buy from them unless someone in this group has had a positive experience through them. TIA

Looking for some suggestions for my girl!

This is my first time owning a dog. I’ve always had dogs growing up but this is the first one I’ve gotten on my own. I just have a couple a questions.

I have a horrible time with her nipping. Most of the time she is super sweet and cuddly but it seems like if she gets riled up especially at night she will resort to trying to bite or nip at my hands or arms or my fiancés especially our toes. She’s sweet but it hurts. I’ve tried to be mindful and take her out to play when she starts but it seems like that just makes it worse. She has plenty of toys in the house and outside. I think she is just overstimulated. Once she calms down she is fine. She is only 7 months so still a puppy. Any suggestions?

She has a Kong which she enjoys but the spray to go in it is so expensive. My mom suggested peanut butter which I have been doing on occasion but I worry about her health doing that all the time. I also have been doing carrot sticks on occasion as a treat. Any alternatives?

Thank you for any suggestions! Pic of my girl for attention.
