Hello everyone! Just wanted to post an update on some new measures we’ll be taking to prevent the link spam on the subreddit.

We’ll be testing out post requirements that prevent brand new accounts from creating posts.

If you’re a brand new account or alt, please use the mod mail feature and we can manually approve your post.

Nearly everyone else shouldn’t notice a change.

We’ll also be implementing a block on all links outside of Imgur and Reddit. This is to ensure the safety of users to prevent the use of merchandise spam links that do fall through the cracks.

I really want a basset hound puppy for my cocker spaniel to play with. I don’t have the time, energy, or emotional capacity for another dog right now.

Talk me out of the breed specifically.

Hi! Our 8 year old basset has been shedding A LOT the last week. Every time I brush him he has soooo much hair come off – even when he is just pet, hair comes off. At first I thought maybe because it is very hot that he is shedding basically as much as he can, but now I’m wondering if this is an issue – or can just keep brushing him and letting all that comes off to come off? We did go on a long vacation (where we were away from him) recently so I wonder if it could be stress related and if so, is it still ok to brush him?
