I’m looking for recommendations on brands for shoes for my basset! I’m looking specifically for one to protect against the heat and not cause discomfort to him. Pic for attention

Copper has been my best friend since the beginning. He and I have been through so much together. He’s my soul dog. I’m so grateful it was my family that adopted him instead of the other people who wanted him as well. He’s the bestest boy and I couldn’t imagine not having him in my life. He’s 11 now. We’ve had him for 10 years! It’s crazy how fast time flies.

Hello! I was wanting to ask you basset hound experts out there with what your tips are regarding walking a basset hound. This is Sadie; she isn’t necessarily trained, and when we take her out to walk/use the bathroom, she doesn’t make it very easy. She loves leading with her nose, and eat things she probably shouldn’t. (It’s about that time of year for cicadas, and she’s been munching on them a lot…) She also likes to go out into the road, causing me to drag her back to the house with her harness.
Are bassets usually this stubborn? I’m fine with her wondering around on walks, but she often does things she shouldn’t.
