Hello! I’m getting a baby basset in August and I’ve posted before about prepping for her. I’m getting closer now and I’m starting to think about niche things like water bowls good for their ears and ramps to get in/out of bed or the car ect. What are some speciality products you have for your basset that have been life saving and I might not know I need yet as someone whose only had regular sized dogs? I’ve been doing some googling but I always prefer the recommendations from real people who have used such products. Thank you!

My 4 year old basset has been diagnosed with arthritis. Tried glucosamine supplements no help. He’s on carprofen right now which does wonders but I’m worried about his health other wise in the long term. Currently the plan is ease off carprofen to just as needed.
I’m here looking for advice on other methods and what nots that I can do to ensure a long happy (limp free) life for my pup. The only advice my vet gave was keep him lean which he is already! Maybe different dog food recommendations? We use IAMs currently but wondering about something different geared towards joint health? What else can I do to help him? Stretches? CBD? Acupuncture? What can I do? Any advice helps!

I was wondering if anyone have had experience with agression with a 1 year old basset hound. We take him to an indoor dog park and he is fine with other dogs he just snaps anytime he sees a husky. Not sure if it’s an alpha thing but I am desperate with any advice. He is a sweet dog but for some reason he just does not like husky’s

Does anyone have suggestions for a water bowl that will help keep the mop ears to a minimum?

My first basset hound! I just got him earlier today, He is 12 weeks old and has had his first round of puppy shots and vet visit with a clear bill of health, I’ve yet to name him since I want to get a sense of who he is before I do.
