I feel so nervous/excited like I’m going in a first date! We have 2 cats and a dog (25 lb mutt) and our pup lately seems bored and lonely. He loves doggy daycare and seeing his friends, but at home the cats don’t want to play with him and when we try he looks at us like we’re doing it wrong 😂 It would be my first basset but I’ve worked in the rescue world for years so have worked with them.

I hope their intro goes well because we can love him as much as we want, but it’s up to him and Charles to make the final decision! Any tips/tricks/cute photos of your babies?

I did give him a good walk when I got back home to put him back in. Breaks my heart to leave him home for 8 hours in the kennel but its the only way for him to relax and not agonize over me being gone.
