Hi Basset lovers! My partner and I have a 2 yr old basset boy who is experiencing tummy troubles. We are trying a diet of plain chicken and white rice now to try and help. He gets constipated often and tried to eat grass. Any advice on things to give him/diet recommendations?

When I brought her home, I thought I was adopting a dignified little Basset Hound

What I actually got?

A clingy, melodramatic stage actress who believes life is a nonstop performance — and I’m her one and only audience.

🚽 Bathroom? She’s there. Staring into my soul like we’re in a tragic romance.

🍳 In the kitchen? She’s breathing down my neck like a judgmental Gordon Ramsay.

🚪 Taking out the trash? She watches from the doorway like I’m heading to war — whispering, “Promise you’ll return to me…”

She doesn’t sit.

She poses.

Legs crossed, head tilted, like she’s starring in a vintage Chanel ad.

✨ She lets out dramatic sighs if I dare ignore her for more than five seconds.

🥣 Once skipped dinner because her bowl wasn’t “facing the right direction.”

And the zoomies?

Oh, dear God.

One minor existential crisis and she’s sprinting through the house like she’s being audited by the IRS.

To date, she has:

Licked every window in the house

Learned how to open the fridge

Stolen a banana, peeled it herself, and left the peel on my pillow like a warning from the Fruit Cartel 🍌💀

I’ve bought every “indestructible” toy on the market.

She gutted them all like she was on a quest for hidden treasure.

Then I heard whispers of a legendary, stuffing-free octopus toy from>

Mallard Gifts

I gave in.

And now?

She carries it everywhere like it’s her emotional support squid.

🐙 Tosses it. Wrestles it.

Sometimes just rests her chin on it like they’ve survived the trenches together.

It’s still intact.

Which is more than I can say for:

👟 My shoes

📺 My TV remote

🧠 And whateve Basset Hound -lover-coll

Does anyone have any remedies to allergies? Our sweet girl is going crazy itching. Shes almost 10 weeks and armpits are getting raw, she won’t stop chewing on her paws and constantly needs her belly rubbed.

We’ve tried itch relief spray, and are putting salmon oil and dehydrated goats milk milk in her food. Nothing is working.
