Today is a no bones day 🙂

We call her Blue. Our kittens and cats love her. If Blue notices a feral cat. All she has to do is to bark at the stray cat and the cats chase the new comer off the property.

Had an unexpected half day off, so came home and grabbed Daisy and headed to the off leash puppy park. She did really well and didn’t run off at all. Helped the park was almost empty

So my fiancé and I are planning on eventually getting a Bassethound and have been doing research periodically. Well- I’ve been lurking in this subreddit and he’s been doing research. Anyways, I’ve read a lot of the posts asking about advice for bassethounds and read something about having two bassets making the process easier. I currently have a bloodhound, Tortuga, who is sweet and amazing but I’m unsure if it would make the process easier or worse. I thought I would ask for general advice and if this would possibly work. To add, Tortuga is currently with my mother because I live somewhere that doesn’t allow dogs and she loves her so much, so there is a possibility that my mom will want to keep her (she’s her trail dog lol). All of this to say, would it be better to let my mom keep her (she only lives about 10 mins away so it’s not a forever departure) and get two bassethounds or maybe even another bloodhound and one bassethound? Or is the benefit in only having two bassethounds? I added pictures of her (Tortuga) for fun lol.
