(a very serious training guide by me, Bruce Goose)
Step 1: Bring the little shovel inside. Mama will say, “No, not inside!” but she is wrong.
Step 2: Convince Mama to take you to the dirt store. She calls it the “hardware store,” but I call it HEAVEN (they have treats there).
Step 3: Sniff ALL the dirt. You must inspect every scoop. This is very important for quality control.
Step 4: Watch Mama plant things. Stare directly at her face so she does a good job.
Important Brucey Rule: Do not eat the crunchy leaves. Mama gets loud. Mama says “BRUCEY NO” with her serious voice.
10/10 would try again.

I miss both of my boys very much. I am considering adopting a basset from a rescue, but I can’t help but feel guilty. I know I could never replace the boys and I know I wouldn’t be by opening my heart up to a new pup, but it still feels wrong?
