Martha landed up in the creeping phlox looking for her missing toad.

If you did a genetic test on a Basset would it be able to differentiate between the Basset breeds? I have a feeling that some of the dogs imported from Europe might actually be other Basset breeds mislabelled. One of my dogs resembles more of a Basset Artésien Normand than a Basset hound. I don’t mind just something floating around in my ADHD brain.

My sweet puppy is 5 months old. Her mom is a basset and they think dad was a beagle. I keep reading all the horror stories on how fragile their backs are. The problem is she runs full speed and jumps up on any and everything (even if I have a ramp available). Would love some recommendations on preventing back injuries!
