Where has time gone? Our lil dude turns 8 this October!!

Our basset was born in March. We brought him home at the beginning of May. We have worked tirelessly on potty training but there doesn’t seem to be a light at the end of the tunnel. We will go outside on a leash after play, nap (in crate), meal times and honestly more, but he still decides to pee in the middle of the floor. Any advice? Should we be worried about diabetes possibly because there’s no sound reason I could think of for him to want to pee inside?

My dad found this whilst clearing out my grandma’s garage. She must have picked it up years ago in a car boot sale – it’s almost like she knew it’d come in handy one day.

It even has a faint resemblance to my Moomin! Safe to say it has a new home with me 😊

P.S my family haven’t previously had an interest in Bassets until I got one, which has me convinced my grandma was predicting my future back when she got it some 20/30 years ago

Lucille pic included-she will eat anything hahaha. Toastie loves grabbing fruit out of water for some reason. But she actually ate the frozen watermelon!

He is not a fan that his grandpa is demoing our bathroom for a remodel… lap dog activated 😂

I always wanted a basset hound or a lab. I loved the goofiness of a lab and the long ears and body of a basset with their mischievous nose. Was lucky enough to find the best of both worlds in our rescue, Ludo!
