Potty training gurus please report to the front of the class

Hey! We picked up our 8 week old little ham on Saturday!. I am going outside every 30 mins for her to pee; I praise her like crazy and give her a treat (some pebbles of her food). We come back in and within 10 mins she pees again. [I swear I’ve cleaned up 55 piddle spots since 8am this morning 🙃.] I repeat this process and I’m just looking for some hope this is normal at this age and things will get a bit easier as we go? We do not scold or yell at her for going inside I just pick her up asap and bring her outside…. Should I just pitch a tent and live in my front yard at this point lol?

She is crate training and actually loves her crate for naps and at nighttime from 8p-5:30a she is waking up about three times for potty. I mention that to say she does well at night but the second she’s free in my living room it’s game on for pee time.

Anyway this is an absolute ramble but I’m feeling nervous and in the trenches that I’m already messing this up and wanting any guidance fellow basset owners have. Thanks so much.
