Anyone waitlisted on a basset hound around NC? I have a free, healthy, friendly, 3.5 year old basset hound that’s in need of a good forever home.

Hi all,

I don’t want to put our dog through a long fostering process or cause her any additional stress, so I figured it wouldn’t hurt to look around myself for potential owners who could give her a great home.

If you’re seriously interested, please message me with proof that you’re on at least one or two Basset Hound waitlists, and be willing to either show your home or explain your living situation. Anyone meeting these criteria will be considered. We are willing to drive 3-5 hours for the right party.

I took her in about a year and a half ago from a friend who was moving out of state. Unfortunately, she is not working out long-term with our personal situation, and we’re no longer able to keep her. She’s a purebred Basset Hound with AKC papers, approximately 3.5 years old, female, and—based on everything we’ve observed—in great health.

She’s a very sweet dog, the most gentle I’ve ever met. Loves cats, other dogs, people, really as sweet as pie and I’ve never once seen her get upset with another. It’s been a really tough decision deciding to let her go.
