Winter and the cold

So my guy is 7. My first year with him. Got through the banging heat now it’s just about at freezing temperatures. I’m in eastern Canada.

The paws, the coat… How do bassets fair in the cold. We have an aggressive walking component most days so cutting that out other than the extreme cold, isn’t an option. Gotta get the walking in.

He’s in good shape. Appropriate weight, fixed, if that matters.

I’m keen on a winter coat and snood for him, not sure about boots though.
